About

Hello, my name is Julie Padgham & I am the founder of Lewes Reflexology.

I previously trained as a Medical Herbalist & later had the opportunity to train in a physical therapy to offer alongside herbal medicine.

A few years earlier,  I had been introduced to reflexology where I had learnt the principles & basic techniques.  I was fascinated by how these simple techniques could feel so profoundly healing to the body & mind & was keen to learn more.

In 2011, I qualified with a Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology & I have been practising reflexology ever since.

I enjoy the individual nature of reflexology & I am keen to share the benefit it offers. Observing someone truly relax when they experience reflexology for the first time is deeply rewarding. My approach of carefully listening to each person, along with a sense for feeling subtle changes in the feet, allows me to guide the reflexology process & offers a uniquely personalised experience.

My inspiration & fascination for my work comes from the natural world & the building blocks of life. How microcosms reflect macrocosms; the universal pattern that repeats itself throughout nature & how we are all connected to this intrinsic web of life.

Reflexology reflects these ancient principles – the foot being a microcosm of the macrocosm of the body. I love the way it reminds us of this universal connection, allowing us to stop for a moment, take a breath & feel the ground under our feet, once again.

I spend as much time as I can out in nature; exploring the Sussex countryside with my dog, nature journaling & growing herbs in my garden, which I use in my herbal practice.

Information about my herbal practice; The High Weald Herbalist, can be found here.
